Journey with Christ to Calvery

Jesus dies on the cross
Dear Friend of St. Jude,

Father Peter Sticco, S.A.C. Novena Director

Thank you for your continued kindness to the Pallottine priests and brothers who conduct St. Jude Shrine. St. Vincent Pallotti, whose words appear above, was the founder of our religious community. He believed that meditating on the Stations of the Cross gives us strength and enables us to deepen our life of faith through participating in Christ’s journey to Calvary. We hope that you will join us as we walk together with Christ to Calvary.

Lent is a time of grace which unites us more fully to Christ through meditation on his passion, death, and resurrection. The Stations of the Cross are a perfect and traditional way to do this type of reflection.

What greater love could God the Father ever show us than in giving up his only Son for our salvation! There is no greater example of obedience than of Jesus praying “not my will but your will.”

Jesus dies on the CrossTracing Jesus’ journey from condemnation to crucifixion helps us feel sorrow for our sins and plead for the strength to carry our own crosses. As we journey from one station to the next, we not only see our own failings, we see that others are feeling the same pain. Jesus is there for each of us to help us carry our crosses and to inspire us to do the same for others by our charitable actions.

As I reflect on St. Vincent Pallotti’s words on the Passion of Jesus, I am reminded of the many people we serve who are suffering and in pain. I ask for your prayers and financial support that will help us continue to serve them. Your commitment to our mission means very much to us!

During this holy season, I encourage you to ask St. Jude to intercede for you and give you the strength to find hope in our Risen Savior. Please send your prayer intentions on the enclosed form. Our Pallottine priests and brothers will remember your needs in our prayers and Masses. We offer you hope and healing through the powerful intercession of St. Jude.

Thank you again for your continued kindness to our Pallottine ministries. Every day all over the world our priests and brothers bring the hope of the Risen Lord to those who need it desperately.

May this Lent be filled with peace, healing and hope through the intercession of St. Jude.

In Christ, our Crucified and Risen Lord,

Fr. Peter Sticco, S.A.C.
Novena Director

P.S. Your gift today helps support St. Jude Shrine and the many ministries of the Pallottine priests and brothers. Please be as generous as possible. Please send me your prayer requests so that they can be remembered in the prayers and novenas at our Shrine. I promise also to include your needs during a daily Mass that is celebrated on the tomb of St. Jude in the Vatican.
