The Key to Realizing Hope
Dear Friend of St. Jude,
“Do not let not your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid!” Jesus said to St. Jude shortly before dying on the cross.
He was trying to help settle St. Jude’s troubled mind. Later, Jesus made an even bigger announcement: “If in my name you ask me for anything, I will do it!”
Perhaps that explains why St. Jude has always been thought of as our patron saint of hopeless cases. Jesus was giving him the key to realizing hope.
I wanted to write and remind you of this as I begin preparations to celebrate St. Jude’s feast day on October 28. Consider this my invitation to join us if you can.
Much like St. Jude, you hold the key to making hope possible for people in need by supporting our life-saving ministry. The blessings you often share with the Shrine give me and my fellow Pallottine priests and brothers the ability to make a very real difference in other people’s lives.
Our missionaries serve in 46 countries around the world including right here at home. From delivering food, clean water, and medicine, to educating the poor and caring for orphans, your blessings bring hope where there has been very little. Your generosity also helps keep the doors to our Shrine open for others who come seeking answers to their prayers and troubled hearts.
You are the reason there is a place like St. Jude Shrine, where people from all walks of life come in search of comfort and hope!
That’s why I wanted to write today and thank you again for your continued support. Please share another gift of your generosity and compassion today if you are able. There are so many people who need the hope you can make possible.
By performing works of mercy in St. Jude’s name, I believe he will be even more eager to return that favor when you need it!
Our patron saint of hope is willing to help any one of us. All you have to do is believe in God and put your trust in Him — just as St. Jude did.
It really is that easy! Now you hold the key!
It also helps to have your personal needs and intentions included in the many prayers and novenas presented here in our Shrine. Just write to me and I promise to seek St. Jude’s intercession on your behalf. As a special patron of our Shrine, you are also entitled to have your needs presented at the tomb of St. Jude in the Vatican! Don’t put it off.
Never forget that all things are possible — even for you!
Wishing you the hope of St. Jude,
Fr. Peter Sticco, S.A.C.
Novena Director
P.S. Don’t forget to celebrate St. Jude’s Feast Day on October 28. Join us in spirit if you can’t make it here to the Shrine. This is a very special time when our Circle of Hope is at its most powerful, and I want to be sure you are included! If you can share another small bit of your generosity, please know it is urgently needed.
