The Special Gift of Prayer

Nativity at St. Jude Shrine
Dear Friend of St. Jude,

Father Peter Sticco, S.A.C. Novena Director

Merry Christmas! Please know that our Pallottine priests and brothers pray for you, not just at Christmas, but all the year through. We are truly blessed to have your kindness, loyalty and support to bring hope to the hopeless.

This Christmas season, we want to give you our special gift of prayer for those you love. Do you have someone in your heart who would benefit from being immersed in our prayers . . . and in our gentle God’s love?  Perhaps a relative is going through a difficult time . . . or a friend is fighting a serious illness.

We will always stand with you in prayer before God. Please let us call upon St. Jude’s powerful intercession for those in your life who need hope and healing.  Just send us your prayer requests. Your petitions will be lovingly remembered in prayer during our novenas and Masses throughout the Christmas season.

We are honored to call upon St. Jude on your behalf, and urge you to share this wonderful gift with another by sending your requests today. As you remember those you care about, may I also ask you to think of the poor who are at the center of our ministry, and to consider a donation for our work?

Friend, a gift of any amount will help us bring the love of God to people who live in forgotten corners of the world . . . people who have long ago lost hope. Your gift will also help deliver the tangible relief aid so desperately needed to save lives.

Nativity at St. Jude ShrineThanks to your support, we will be able to bring emergency medical and dental care to families in Appalachia . . . deliver food, education and salvation to souls in rural isolated villages in South America . . . deliver critical medicine and clean drinking water to keep children from dying from water borne diseases in Africa . . . and so much more.

The spirit of peace and love that surrounded the first Christmas has survived for centuries and lives strong in our hearts today.  This year as you make your Christmas list, please include St. Jude Shrine and our Pallottine priests and brothers who bring the Spirit of Jesus to the poor, on your behalf.

When you share the gift of Christ’s love with the poor, you serve Christ Himself who lives and breathes and walks among the poor. With your help, together we can feed, clothe and comfort Christ in the poor at Christmas and throughout the year.By performing works of mercy in St. Jude’s name, I believe he will be even more eager to return that favor when you need it!

I encourage you to embrace the power of St. Jude’s wondrous intercession. I will personally watch for your intentions so that our priests and brothers can give you and those you love the gift of prayer.  I ask, too, that you include an offering to help us minister where the needs are greatest.

We have much to be thankful for at Christmas . . . for the coming of our Savior . . . for the blessings of family and friendships . . . for the faith that strengthens and gladdens our hearts.

We Pallottines thank God for you!

Wishing you the hope of St. Jude,

Fr. Peter Sticco, S.A.C.
Novena Director

P.S. This Christmas, please give the most precious gift of prayer.  Send your prayer requests, including your own needs and intentions, so we may pray for you and those you love. Your intentions will be remembered  in the prayers and novenas at our Shrine and on the tomb of St. Jude in the Vatican.
