The Holy Season of Lent
Dear Friend of St. Jude,
Thank you for your continued kindness to the Pallottine priests and brothers who conduct St. Jude Shrine. Your faith is an inspiration that helps each of our priests and brothers to embrace Christ’s message to serve the poor.
Lent is a time of grace which unites us more fully to Christ. In Pope Francis’ Lenten message, he reminds us to allow our hearts to be “pierced by the Spirit,” to bring love to our brothers and sisters…and ultimately to be a “poor heart,” one which realizes its own poverty and gives itself freely to others.
I humbly invite you to open your heart now and let your love pour out for others. Please join us in our efforts to make our Lord known and loved by answering God’s greatest calling: to serve Christ in the poor. I ask for your prayers and financial support that will help us in our ministries around the world. Your commitment to our mission means so very much to us and the poor we serve.
During this holy season, I encourage you to ask St. Jude – our beloved Saint of Hopeless Cases – to intercede for you and give you the strength to find hope in the Risen Savior. Please visit our website and send us your prayer intentions. Our priests and brothers will remember your needs in our prayers, Novenas and Masses. We are honored to offer you hope and healing through the powerful intercession of St. Jude.
Your Lenten offering will help us serve people who cry out in pain, heartache and despair – people who think they’ve been forgotten and abandoned. That’s why your generosity is so important today. Your gift will help make a tangible difference in the lives of the poor and let them know of God’s tremendous love for us, made visible in Jesus Christ.
Thank you again for your continued kindness to our Pallottine ministries. Every day, all over the world, our priests and brothers bring the hope of the Risen Lord to those who need it desperately.
May this Lent be filled with love, healing and hope through the intercession of St. Jude.
In Christ, our Crucified and Risen Lord,
Fr. Peter Sticco, S.A.C.
Novena Director
P.S. Your Lenten offering today will help support St. Jude Shrine and the many ministries of the Pallottine priests and brothers. Please be as generous as possible. Please send me your prayer requests so they can be remembered in the prayers, Novenas, and Masses at our Shrine. I promise also to include your needs during a daily Mass that is celebrated on the tomb of St. Jude in the Vatican.
