The Pallottine Sisters in India

Girls in India

Dear Friend of St. Jude,  your compassion for the needy is an indescribable blessing! Thank you for faithfully serving Christ who comes to us in the poor.

I hope you will open your heart again for our Pallottine Sisters in India who care for abandoned children suffering from HIV/AIDS at our Krupa Bhavan Center in the Holy Family Province. The sisters rescued 25 girls who were cast out on the streets. These precious girls watched their parents waste away from AIDS, and then were abandoned by their extended families – the very people who should have loved and nurtured them.

Your past donations helped immensely in caring for these sick and needy children, and the Sisters are very grateful. Sister Diana recently sent this letter to me…

Dear Father Sticco,

Greetings from Sr. Diana Lasrado. How are you father? Here is a picture of all the children and sisters.

Girls in India

The children’s school term began today. They are very happy to study. In fact, they are quite intelligent and smart.

The money that you sent us was very useful for the children. It helped provide their daily food, clothing, education and their medical expenses.

Father Peter, I am indeed thankful for your wholehearted generosity and for your compassionate donors who make sacrifices for our mission. Please let your benefactors know of our deep appreciation for their kindness and caring hearts for these children.

The daily needs are great for these sick girls. We are very much in need of ongoing funding so that we can give these HIV infected children the best care. Father Peter, it is my sincerest hope that it will be possible for you to continue helping these children because they deserve a chance to live.

Thanking you sincerely,

Sr. Diana Lasrado

Our Pallottine Sisters ask for your compassion once again for these hurting children. The Sisters provide not just food, clothing and shelter, but also meet the children’s medical, educational, psychological and social needs. You might imagine that their medical needs alone are extensive, as the children need HIV/AIDS medicine, medical visits and treatments, and a nutritious, high-calorie diet.

“These children have endured a lifetime of pain in their short years on earth,” said Sister Diana. “We kindly ask for your help to give these deserving children a better future.”

Your past support to this mission has literally saved children’s lives. On behalf of the Sisters, I ask you once more to make a difference in the lives of Christ’s suffering children. Please send your most generous gift today.

My prayer is that the kindness you continue to share with our ministry will be abundantly returned to you. You can continue to count on me to seek God’s hope and help on your behalf and for those you love.

Wishing you the hope of St. Jude,

Fr. Peter Sticco, S.A.C.
Novena Director

P.S. We are honored to pray for St. Jude’s intercession on your behalf. I promise to also include your needs in the daily Mass that is celebrated on St. Jude’s tomb in the Vatican.
